In 2002/03, after a two season hiatus, the SFP had something of a rebirth.

Because of it’s late organisation, or because managers just weren’t available, the auction was done via email. All managers listed a set number of players and allocated a bid against their name. Winning bids got the player.

The league also moved online for the first time with it’s own website. It was a very basic beginning into the world wide web, but paved the way for what was to follow. It also meant league information was available 24/7 for the first time, and not just on a Thursday night at Venture Scouts.

Ten managers were to be included in what would be the eighth season, with seven familiar faces and two new ones, in Norwich housemates James Roberts and Richie Powell.

Peter Crockford started the season in pole position, until week five when new boy James Roberts took over and remained top for the remainder of the season – a record breaking 35 consecutive weeks.

Robbo also claimed a league and cup double with a 3:1 SFP Cup win against Ross Peggs.
